Abia: PDP House of Reps candidate for Bende bags chieftaincy title, flags off campaign

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Bende Federal House of Representatives seat in the forthcoming 2019 general election who is also founder and convener of the New Nigeria Movement 2019, NN19, Chima Anyaso has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of ‘Obi Bende’ which translates to ‘The Heart of Bende’ yesterday by the Bende Traditional Council, as he, Anyaso, flags off his campaign in Bende Local Government area of Abia State.

The chieftaincy title installation which was led by the chairman of the Bende traditional council, Eze Engr. Patrick Udeh saw other traditional rulers in attendance. Anyaso was praised for his large heartedness and community development efforts which has transformed his native Bende and has brought hope to young people across Abia state.

On his quest to represent Bende at the Federal House of Representatives, the traditional council declared total support for his ambition saying that his track record shows he would not let his people down.

On his part, Chima Anyaso thanked the traditional council while assuring that his victory at the polls will open a new chapter in the development of Bende. Speaking further, anyaso said “being recognized and fitted a chieftaincy title today as the ‘Obi Bende’ is the highest honor from my people.

For this and many more that they have done for me, I can only assure them that upon resumption at the federal house of representatives, I will ensure that what is due to Bende, be delivered to my people”

As a sign of solidarity and support for his ambition, women and youths of Bende where in their hundreds to witness and participate in the flag of Chima Anyaso campaign.
